Karen:  I may be on an island...but I'm actually hooked on the "Big Brother"show this summer.  I am so glad Eric got the boot this week!  His bossy - know it all attitude was making me sick!  Always going around telling everybody how to act!  Now that Maggie won "head of house"do you think she'll put Kaysar and Janelle "on the block?"

Here's a sneak peek at the next season of "Desperate Housewives"...It seems that someone will be murdered in season two of the show...which begins September 25th.  It won't be Mike, even though Zach wants to kill him.  There's a chance "John" the hunky gardener could be killed off later in the season. Word is...it has to do with the fact that he'll wind up in the same cell block as Carlos, who will find a way to get even with John for sleeping with Gabrielle...    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   

Want more...Bree gets hooked on sleeping pills. Edie's six year old son will come for a visit...and Maisy Gibbons will be back on Wisteria Lane after serving time for prostitution.

Here's one for you...Hugh Hefner is offering Jennifer Anniston $5 Million dollars to pose nude in Playboy...so far she hasn't said No!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's baby is gonna get his/her own showbiz career started in the womb....'cause "Alias" has decided to write Jen's pregnancy into next season's plot...they'll have her character "Sydney" pregnant by Vaughn, her TV fiancee.

TV Guide will undergo a radical change in October...they will have more gossip and fewer TV listings...since most people can get listings from their on-screen TV guides now.

After this upcoming NFL season, "Monday Night Football" is moving to ESPN.  And John Madden has already signed a deal to move over to NBC for Sunday Night NFL games. They were trying to lure Al Michaels over there as well but he says he's comfortable and doesn't want to go.

Will and Grace will kick off its eighth and final season with a live episode September 29th. Alec Baldwin will return as Will's new boss.

American Idol contestant Mikalah Gordon...will have a guest spot on Fran Drescher's sitcom playing a cousin who sings at a bar mitzvah.

Amanda Peet is engaged to screenwriter David Benioff...no word on a wedding date.

Supposidly Paris Hilton's engagement to Paris Latsis is off.  They had a big fight over the wedding plans and the she took off!  I read that his parents didn't like her

Plus... the other thing I heard was her sex tape is all over Greece where her fiancee lives and he's livid about that and that could be the real reason why they broke-up.!

Vanna White has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, financier Michael Kaye, and they're getting married next April.  She'll be 49 by then. Vanna was previously married to George Santo Pietro from 1990-1992.  He cheated on her...that rat!

Jude Law got caught doing the deed with his nanny by one of his kids!  Oye! Jude publicly apologized to his fiancee Sienna Miller.  She was last seen NOT wearing her engagement ring.  I also heard that his ex-wife Sadie Frost said "It's not my nightmare anymore" (words to live by!)  Meanwhile, Sadie just hired another nannie to take care of her kids...this time the nannie looks like Robin Williams in drag!

The fifth season of  "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is now scheduled to kick off on HBO on Sunday, September 25th at 10:00pm. (I love that show...Larry was in town recently for a Red Sox game!)

WASHINGTON — When George W. Bush ran for president in 2000, he sought to contrast himself implicitly with President Clinton, promising to restore "honor and integrity" to the White House. The argument seemed to work.

Now, in the public's view, President Bush is sliding into negative territory on that score. For the first time in his presidency, more Americans give Bush a low rating (45 percent) on being "honest and straightforward" than give him a high rating (41 percent), according to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

It's not just the recent revelations about top aide Karl Rove — now known to be involved in the imbroglio over the outing of a CIA operative — that have hurt Bush. A range of issues are dampening the president's numbers, from his as-yet-unsuccessful attempt to sell partial privatization of Social Security to increasing public doubts over the decision to go to war in Iraq, says one of the pollsters who conducted the survey.

"We really didn't ask about Rove," says Peter Hart, a Democratic pollster who ran the survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. "It's sort of a sense that nothing's going right, and that a lot of his basic tenets that he put out for the second term are coming up a cropper."

Republican analysts don't disagree.

The HMV website are listing Madonna's new album Confessions on a Dancefloor as having a UK release date of Monday 14 November.

This will be an ALL dance album!  FINALLY!

Ptown 4th of July fireworks celebration turned ugly. Witnesses report multiple brawls and "police overzealousness". Note: I personally saw one guy arrested for assault in front of Spiritus pizza after the cops tracked him down, but didn't see any of the fighting. Most of the "fights" I see in Provincetown occur between straight guys — that is, until Women's Week rolls around. It's then that the streets get really tough.
